Oten developer terms and conditions
These Developer Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation as a developer on the Oten ecosystem, operated by Oten Technologies (“Oten”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
By accepting these Terms, you (“Developer”, “you”, “your”) agree to comply with all applicable provisions, policies, and guidelines outlined herein. If you do not agree, you must not proceed with developer registration or publish applications on the ecosystem.
1. Purpose
The Oten ecosystem provides a centralized environment for developers to build, integrate, test, and publish applications (“Apps”) within the Oten Store and connected enterprise marketplaces (“Ecosystem”). These Terms define your rights, obligations, and responsibilities when developing and distributing Apps on the ecosystem.
2. Eligibility and account registration
You must hold a valid Oten account and complete all required registration steps to be granted Developer Role access.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete account information and maintaining its confidentiality.
You may develop and publish apps only after explicitly accepting these Terms.
Oten reserves the right to approve, reject, or suspend your developer access at its sole discretion.
3. Developer role and access rights
Upon accepting these Terms, Oten grants you the Developer Role, which enables access to the Developer Portal for creating, configuring, testing, and publishing Apps.
The Developer Role is personal, non-transferable, and subject to ongoing compliance with these Terms and applicable platform policies.
Developer privileges may be revoked temporarily or permanently if Oten determines a breach of these Terms or misuse of the ecosystem.
4. Developer responsibilities
You agree to:
Use the ecosystem only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure your apps meet all security, privacy, and performance requirements defined by Oten.
Maintain accurate metadata, documentation, and version information for all Apps.
Keep all integration credentials (API keys, tokens, etc.) secure and confidential.
Respect intellectual property rights of third parties.
Immediately notify Oten of any unauthorized access, data breach, or misuse of the ecosystem.
5. Application submission and review
All Apps submitted to Oten toreS are subject to administrative review and approval.
Oten reserves the right to test, reject, remove, or suspend any app that fails to meet its quality, compliance, or security standards.
You are responsible for testing apps thoroughly with provided integration config before submission.
Oten may require additional documentation, screenshots, or technical validation before approving publication.
6. Fees and payments
Certain features or publishing privileges may require payment or subscription fees as described in the Oten Developer documentation.
Where applicable, revenue sharing, subscription pricing, or payment collection will follow Oten’s Store Monetization Policy*.
You are responsible for compliance with all applicable tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
7. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your Apps, trademarks, and associated intellectual property.
By submitting an App, you grant Oten a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, distribute, display, and promote your App through the Platform.
You represent that you hold all necessary rights to distribute your App and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.
8. Data protection and privacy
You must comply with applicable data protection laws and Oten’s privacy policy when collecting, processing, or storing user data.
You must clearly disclose how user data is collected and used in your app.
You must not misuse ecosystem data, perform unauthorized scraping, or access data beyond your app’s scope.
9. Prohibited activities
Developers are strictly prohibited from:
Submitting malicious, deceptive, or unauthorized content.
Circumventing a security measures or attempting to access restricted areas.
Using Oten’s name, trademarks, or branding without prior written approval.
Publishing content that violates intellectual property, privacy, or legal regulations.
Manipulating app metrics, reviews, or user data.
10. Compliance and auditing
Oten may perform audits or compliance checks on your account and apps at any time.
Developers must maintain accessible records (logs, documentation, version history) for audit purposes.
Failure to comply with audit requests may result in suspension or termination of developer privileges.
11. Updates to terms and policies
Oten may update these Terms or associated policies periodically.
Developers will be notified through the ecosystem or registered email.
Continued use of the Developer Portal constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
12. Suspension and termination
Oten reserves the right to suspend or terminate your developer role if you:
Breach these terms or applicable laws;
Submit harmful or fraudulent content;
Violate user privacy or intellectual property; or
Endanger Platform security or stability.
Upon termination, you must immediately cease use of all developer tools, credentials, and integrations.
13. Limitation of liability
Oten provides the ecosystem “as is” and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oten is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the ecosystem.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oten, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of the ecosystem, or violation of third-party rights.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction, e.g., Vietnam/ UAE], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of [Jurisdiction]. (*) feature is on the way.
